Missions Ministries

Following Christ's command in Acts 1:8, Tri-State Fellowship sponsors local outreach events and projects (our Jerusalem), and supports missionaries regionally and nationally (our Judea and Samaria) and around the world (the ends of the earth). These efforts are overseen by a Missions Council comprised of a cross-section of church members with a heart for seeing the Gospel spread "near and far."

Our involvement
We pray for our missionaries, learn increasingly more about their ministries, provide financial support, build relationships with them, and do as much hands-on work with them as possible. Emails containing regular prayer requests and information from our missionaries are sent to anyone in the church who wants to receive them. (To be placed on the missionary email list write sridenour@tristatefellowship.org.)

Missions we support
We provide financial support to several local mission organizations that minister to children and students. Regionally we support a ministry to international students and an inner-city church plant in Baltimore. We also support U.S.-based missionaries who work with international Christian radio and who equip people for evangelism. And we provide support to missionaries ministering in Scotland, Thailand, Central Asia, Brazil, Africa, and Central Europe. Focus on Central Asia
In recent years we have had a clear vision to adopt a people group in a country in Central Asia, resulting in numerous service projects and trips.

Katrina Relief
Since the disaster of Hurricane Katrina on the Gulf Coast, we have sent a number of groups on week-long mission trips to assist rebuilding efforts in the New Orleans area. We have partnered with the compassion arm of the EFCA, Touch Global, and everyone returns from these trips excited about what God allowed them to do and learn.

Individual Involvement
The church leadership encourages members of the congregation to participate in short-term missions trips and will provide a portion of the funding for those trips. Every other summer our students go on mission trips within the U.S. And, throughout the years, we have had the privilege of sending out several full-time missionaries from among our congregation.
