Prayer Ministries

Prayer is an act of communion with God and is the foundational element of everything we do at Tri-State Fellowship. In this we follow the model of Jesus, who depended upon prayer to the Father for wisdom in all things. We emphasize the need for prayer in all areas of ministry at Tri-State Fellowship, encouraging every person and ministry to depend on prayer as the source of wisdom and power to be God's people and to do God's work.

A faithful group meets for a regular time of prayer on Sunday mornings, 9:00-9:30 a.m. Prayers are specifically offered for the services that Sunday and for other needs within the body. Anyone may attend. People quietly slip in and out as they are able.

A prayer list is printed in the weekly newsletter and published through Tri-State E-News. A prayer email list, to which anyone in the church can subscribe, is used to send out more urgent prayer requests throughout the week. (Subscribe by writing sridenour@tristatefellowship.org.) Concerts of Prayer are held at various times to focus on specific ministry areas such as Student Ministries trips.

Prayer is the primary element of regular church staff meetings. They pray for needs that are brought to their attention and also for families each week taken from the church directory. The Elders meet once a month for a time devoted to prayer. The various community groups and Bible studies spend a portion of their time in prayer and small pockets of people gather throughout the week just for the purpose of prayer.

We are encouraged by this focus even as we realize how much more there is to learn about dependence on God through prayer. If you have specific prayer needs or praises, feel free to write us at sridenour@tristatefellowship.org and your requests will be lifted before the Lord. Then let us know what answers you receive so we can be encouraged, too.
